George
Southard started G S Sales in 1991. We now have over 28 years of plastics
experience in the plastics industry. We sell plastic stock shapes, fabricated
parts and welding equipment from some of the world's best manufacturers of
plastic materials. George handles all the sales and customer service. His wife,
Connie, handles the administrative duties of the business. Christine
Rasche is responsible for G S Sales marketing outcall program, which is
designed to help specify products and create leads for our distributors.
G S Sales was started on January 1st of 1991, shortly after George and his
family returned to the Midwest from Pittsburgh
where he had been Vice President of Sales for Solidur Plastics. George worked
for Solidur from 1985 until January 1991, when he started G S Sales. He started
G S Sales with Solidur's support until they were bought out by a competitor.
Prior to working for Solidur, George started his career with Poly Hi in 1979.
He left Poly Hi to help start Artek, Inc.
G S Sales is fortunate to have developed long term relationships with the
manufacturers we represent. We have represented most of the companies we handle
for over 12 years and Kleerdex for 16 years. It is our goal to help our
customers grow by teaching them everything we can about the products and
product markets of the companies we represent. We try to accomplish this
through sales calls, product training seminars and taking advantage of every
type of media possible to support these efforts.
G S Sales represents manufacturers who support the distribution channel. It is
this channel that we strive to grow our business through. We will strive to
educate our distributor partners to help them grow the business for themselves
and the manufacturers we represent. We also do our best to teach their
customers (fabricators and OEM’s) about the applications and uses for the
products we sell.
