IAPD Scholarship Program

The IAPD Charitable Scholarship Foundation was established to develop and administer an award program at the undergraduate level for the children of employees of IAPD member companies and for students pursuing study in polymer sciences and/or industrial distribution. IAPD has awarded more than $340,000 in scholarships to students who demonstrate academic achievement, financial need and community service. To date, more than 250 students have benefited from this worthwhile program. Money for these scholarships is generated by donations from IAPD member companies and individuals in the plastics industry, as well as donations from IAPD and its for-profit subsidiary. The foundation also hosts several fund-raising events such as golf tournaments and a silent auction.

The intent of the IAPD Scholarship Program is to:

• Provide meaningful financial support for the education of worthy scholarship candidates.
• Benefit the plastics distribution industry through better educated people.
• Expose scholarship candidates to the ever-expanding plastics industry.
• Strengthen IAPD through a direct link to education today.
