rochling

With almost 200 years of experience, Rochling Plastics is one of the Worlds oldest and largest Manufacturers of Plastic Sheet and Plastic Rod. From Acetal to PEEK, HDPE to UHMW, Rochling produces some of the best and largest high performance plastics.

History

It all began in 1822, when Friedrich Ludwig Röchling founded a coal trading business. Twenty seven years later the “Röchling brothers” comprised of Friedrich’s four nephews began the production of hard coal coke (a replacement for charcoal in furnaces to produce steel) and processing.

Fast forward to 1922, the Röchling Company acquired its first plastics company of Holzveredelung GmbH in Berlin. This acquisition proved to be a successful venture. So much so, that the Röchling Group expanded its product range and eventually sold all other holdings to focus on plastic.

From 1964 to 1975 Röchling hit milestones in plastic innovation with the developments of the thermoplastics Polystone® and Durostone®.

Today the Röchling name symbolizes more than just nearly two centuries of quality business.  From automotive to medical grade plastics– it represents a legacy of product excellence and innovation in a globally operating plastics group.
